Well, those damn city people have made alternative fuel so complicated that it's hard for simple country folk to understand. Really, it can be less complicated than a country still and easier than getting Becky Sue into the hay loft. The most important wrinkle is making it safe for your tractor, truck, or pickup. And that's what we aim to tell ya in simple country English. I ain't meaning to put down Yankees and I ain't one of them what thinks that damn and Yankee is one word (specially since I'm living where North meets South). But a true Yankee is just like a quickie, except a fella does it when he's alone. And a guy doin' that may be too distracted to give you the information straight. Hell, it ain't nothing but mixin up a few things, simpler than Granny's homemade possum pie. Why, one type is as easy as tossing some kerosene into used cooking oil and adding some do-dads that you probably got laying around the farm. Lots o' folks who convert to biodiesel or greasel later regret their actions for many problems can result including the total destruction of the vehicle. Some methods convert the car to the fuel and others convert used or fresh cooking oil and need no changes to the car. So the word conversion can mean converting the car or the oil. Many web sites can tell you how to make your biodiesel or greasel scheme come true but most of them, that I see, do not give enough safety precautions. Some biodiesel and/or greasel people are zealots and want to believe that biodiesel/greasel is safe for all vehicles and will erroneously tell you that it is safe for every diesel engine. Others have built a system that will work for a year or two and are not yet aware that they are slowly coking (ruining) their engine. Shucks, we're just hillbillies, but we got the cure f'r that.
